The purpose of this lab assignment is to implement Visual Basic code for a simple GUI, as outlined in Chapter 2. The GUI will include two picture boxes to hold images of different types of pizza, three buttons to select the pizza type and corresponding images, and an exit button.

To complete this assignment, follow the guidelines provided in Chapter 3. It is important to test your program frequently and ensure that it is functioning correctly before submission. The deadline for this assignment is before 5 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2014.

When submitting your files, please zip up the Project folder into a file named “lab3-ws.zip”, where “ws” represents your initials. Upload the zipped file to the dropbox in CougarView.

In your documentation, include the following elements:

A) Program block:
– Start with a header containing the program name, author name (including credit for any code that is not yours), and the date of creation.
– Provide a detailed description of the program’s purpose.

B) Every subroutine:
– For each subroutine in your program, provide a detailed description of its function.
– Give credit for any code that is not yours.

The grading rubric for this assignment is as follows:

– Runs correctly: This criterion assesses whether your program runs without any errors or issues. You will be awarded a maximum of 2 points for meeting this criterion.

– Correct output: This criterion evaluates whether your program produces the expected output. You will earn a maximum score of 2 points for meeting this criterion.

– Design of output: This criterion assesses the overall design of the output generated by your program. It evaluates factors such as the placement and size of the picture boxes and buttons. A maximum of 1.5 points can be awarded for meeting this criterion.

– Design of logic: This criterion evaluates the logic and functionality of your program. It assesses factors such as the accuracy of the pizza type selection and the corresponding display of images. A maximum of 2 points can be earned for meeting this criterion.

– Standards: This criterion evaluates whether your program adheres to established coding standards. It considers factors such as variable naming conventions and proper indentation. A maximum of 1.5 points can be awarded for meeting this criterion.

– Documentation: This criterion evaluates the completeness and clarity of your documentation. It assesses whether you have provided thorough explanations of the program’s purpose and each subroutine’s function. A maximum of 1 point can be earned for meeting this criterion.

Please refer to the provided grading rubric, which is available as a separate Word document, for more detailed information.
